Festival Overview
This year’s festival will take place from August 12th to 18th, 2024.
Students will receive instruction and coachings during the week which will culminate in a Sunday performance in which they will be able to showcase their growth and what they have been working on.
First Day
The first day will start with an orientation in which you receive your detailed schedule for the week and get to know the faculty and other students.
Monday thru Saturday
The festival will take place at Alsace Lutheran Church 2201 Kutztown, Rd Reading, PA 19605 USA
Each day will consist of:
- 1:1 instruction
- Chamber instruction
- Masterclasses
- Individual practice time
- Student Solo Showcases
- Lunch
Recitals during the week
All recitals will be open to parents and other guests.

Sunday
Vilacello Young Artist Chamber Recital
This is the culmination of the festival where students will perform what they have been working on during the week and showcase their growth.
Performances will take place at St. Mark’s Church 1625 Locust St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA
This is the same location used by Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, and other prestigious music institutions and musicians.
Students must arrive by 12:15. The recital will take place from 1:00PM-3:00PM
Faculty members will be incorporated in each young artist chamber group as this is an important part of our curriculum; our students get the experience of performing with professionals.
Distinguished Guest Artist and Teacher
Timothy Chooi is an internationally acclaimed and award-winning violinist. He will be our distinguished guest artist and teacher for the 2024 festival, where he will come on August 17th and 18th, to teach students and play in the Faculty Chamber Music Recital.
