Festival Overview
This year’s festival will take place from August 12th to 18th, 2024.
Students will receive instruction and coachings during the week which will culminate in a Sunday performance in which they will be able to showcase their growth and what they have been working on.
First Day
The first day will start with an orientation at 8 am, in which students receive their detailed schedule for the week and get to know the faculty and other students.
Monday thru Sunday
The festival and all performances will take place at Alsace Lutheran Church 2201 Kutztown, Rd Reading, PA 19605 USA
Each day will consist of:
- 1:1 instruction
- Chamber instruction
- Masterclasses
- Individual practice time
- Student Solo Showcases
Recitals during the week
All recitals will be open to the public.

Sunday August 18th Final Recital
Vilacello Young Artist Chamber Recital
Time: 1 pm (Students must arrive by 12:15 pm)
The recital will open with a performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons – Autumn, with a chamber orchestra consisting of all students and faculty, and violin soloist, Timothy Chooi. The students will then continue the recital in their chamber groups.

Distinguished Guest Artist and Teacher
Timothy Chooi is an internationally acclaimed and award-winning violinist. He will be our distinguished guest artist and teacher for the 2024 festival, where he will come on August 17th and 18th, to teach students and play in the Faculty Chamber Music Recital.
